On June 12, 2025, representatives of G-Project, specifically from the Construction and Design Division, participated in the Western Kosovo Economic Development Conference, organized by KFOR at Villaggio Italia Camp in Peja. The invitation was extended by Colonel Francesco Errico, Commander of the Regional Command-West (RC-W) of the NATO-led KFOR mission. This important event served as a continuation of the Western Kosovo Memorandum of Understanding, with the central theme: “Empowering the Role of Civil Society in Regional Economic Growth.” Key Topics Discussed: Promoting Strategic Cooperation through the Triple Helix Model Emphasis was placed on building sustainable partnerships between universities, government institutions, and the private sector to foster regional economic development. Aligning Academic Programs with Labor Market Demands Discussions focused on the need to develop student profiles and academic curricula that meet the evolving demands of the labor market—both locally and globally. Strengthening the University’s Third Mission: Societal Contribution The importance of universities actively engaging with their communities through social development, innovation, and broader societal progress was underscored. G-Project expressed strong interest in contributing to community development, with a focus on: Career orientation for high school students, preparing them for academic and professional paths before entering university. Aligning university programs with specific labor market needs, aiming to enhance employment efficiency and prepare a highly skilled workforce. Participation in this conference highlights G-Project’s active role in driving regional socio-economic development through cross-sector collaboration and support for initiatives that positively shape the future of Kosovo.
